Keeping Your Air Conditioner Running

It’s getting to be the end of summer and you’re beginning to use your air conditioner less and less. It feels as though the days of summer are already over for Denver, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, there are still a lot of summer festivities to be enjoyed including an end-of-summer party at your house. Beyond having a party, it’s important to remember that your comfort is of the utmost importance which is why it’s also important to keep your AC running at optimal levels. With that said, here are a few reasons why it’s still worth it to keep running your air conditioner, as well as why it’s worth it to get your air conditioner repaired if it’s not currently working.

  1. It’s still August – The average recorded temperature in Denver is 86 degrees. This means that most days will see temperature highs of nearly 90 degrees, and there’s not a soul in Colorado that wouldn’t agree that 90-degree temps are a reason to run the AC.
  2. You Need Your Sleep – With temperatures reaching nearly 60 degrees outside, your home can reach as high as 90 degrees inside if you’re not running your air conditioner. When you lay down to go to sleep, you’ll have a harder time falling and staying asleep, as the optimal temperature for slumber is about 65 degrees.

While these are just two reasons to continue to run your air conditioner, they are important reasons. Keeping your home comfortable is important to your comfort and health. Stay tuned for our next blog on why still need your air conditioning unit.
