Once again, we at Premier Heating and Air welcome you back to our blog. We’ve spent quite a bit of our attention talking about the different types of units, how they work and what they have to offer. But the only way to make an informed decision about which air conditioning installation you should get, is to know both the good things and the bad things about each type of unit before deciding. Here are the pros and cons of two more units that you should consider.

  • Pros Vs. Cons Of Ductless Mini Split Units – These units provide a great way to get cool air distributed to different areas of your home, without the costly installation of air ducts. These units work by directing cool air up and out. They last about 12-15 years, so you’ll definitely get your bang for your buck, as you should. These units tend to be expensive. But then again, no ductwork.
  • Evaporative Cooler – These air conditioners are much more affordable than most. They simply use the outdoor air, and cool it with water. Depending on where you live, this could be your best option. Not every climate demands AC throughout the summer. However, in Denver, this is not the case. It is, however, much more energy efficient, as it costs about half as much as central air to run throughout the summer. This type of cooler is a bit more demanding as far as maintenance goes, but the money saved is a great benefit.
